The 6.4 are good motors in my opinion. We have not seen many issues with them at all. What's wrong with it?

I have about 22k on mine with no issues, I did have the venturi-T installed. The only real issue is a leak'n radiator with the early builds. Whats it in the shop for?

The below website is a good resource

Had an 06 F350 6.0 for a couple of years and the only problem was an EGR code occasionly, which from what I gather was pretty common on the 6.0 and the fact that I ran a programmer probably didn't help, traded it for an 08 F350 with a 6.4 and so far have had no complaints except fuel mileage, and I did a cat/dpf delete exhaust and a Spartan programmer and picked up mileage with that, especially on the highway.

hey FT..
what's the venturi-T? i heard guys are having some sort of egr issue? white smoke and such? any ideas?
just to clarify...my truck is awesome. loved it the day i test drove it, tons of room and will tow anything i can afford, and look cool doing it!
little, annoying stuff like switches, locks, knobs, rattles...seem to be my personal issue...but with btb..it's all good

I have a 6.4 f450 after previously having multiple other generations of Ford and GMC products. This is by far the best. It is very powerful and extremely quiet. I have a 4.88 rear for heavy towing so the milage suffers, but some of the milage claims on other trucks are pure fantasy (e.g. 15 mpg heavy towing with a medium duty; 23 mpg for a 2500 pickup--come on!)
