just to clarify...my truck is awesome. loved it the day i test drove it, tons of room and will tow anything i can afford, and look cool doing it!
little, annoying stuff like switches, locks, knobs, rattles...seem to be my personal issue...but with btb..it's all good

(whoa! thanks slick, got that answer as i was typing)
Its a small plastic T fitting that's installed to help prevent the radiators from leaking. I'm not sure if there was recall or not but I believe the ford shop will install it for free if you mention it on your next service appointment.

Everyone raves on the Spartan! ! ! I will be doing the same once I get close the 100k mark

I bought an early F450 with the 4:88's I like the room and layout of the truck. But mileage sucks and its spent more time in the shop that on the road. Its in the shop right now with a bad injector, I think. Same thing last week, along with a new radiator. Been in Three times for fuel pump, lost a transfer case, lost a rearend on the first trip out, 3 days old. I'm going back to the General.

It's pricey, but when you pick up 4 to 5 mpg on the highway, it makes the price alot more palatible, and the difference in the way the truck runs makes it all worth while.

WoW,, That would be very frustrating- - I've haven't heard of anyone having that many issues.

I think I have had alot more trouble that most, but the trucks have had some issues from what I have read.
Just heard from the dealer, not an injector, it is the wiring harness and that is probably what make the injector go bad last week. New week, new problem.

That sucks Mike....sorry to hear that...after the last PR I thought you got all the snafu's out of her....both of my 08's have been flawless to date....One is geared with a 3.73 rear end and the other is 4:10, about 1 mpg difference. I usually get a different one every year but plan on keeping these two in service until 2010. My 07 GMC dually ate a tranny..went into some limp mode per the dealer..then they said you probably had a programmer on it..like all you're others...and thank god on that truck as well as both 08's I haven't done anything to them...after they put a scan on it they apologized, said it was rare to see the Allison fail. It's been a great truck also, just doesnt pull as much weight as the Ford does confidently..softer sprung suspension, and it gets about 1 more mpg...Jeff

The 7.3 is a keeper, 20.6 mpg. unloaded, 13-14 with boat or our 5th wheel. (02 F-250 4x4 trailer pack)

Yes, i was hoping all the bugs were out to. But they seem to multiply faster than I can get them fixed. Oh well, since I drive it every day I like the ride of the chevy better anyway. Just need to get one before St. Pete. You going to make it down for that one??

Default f-450

I bought an 08 King Ranch, Black/Tan myself and it has 10k miles on it and till this day,"knock on wood", it hasn't given me any headaches other than the regular service ,oil change and thats about it..I originally had an 04 and that one gave me a ton of headaches.Thats why I sold it and purchased the 08..It is an awesome riding truck and it also pulls anything that i wish to pull..I have heard of mightmare stories, but none that I can speak about on my personal truck..The interior is amazing compared to the others..
