Not assigning blame or anything like that, just want honest
straight opinion on what is right of me to expect.
Long story short a new manifold from a vendor here had a casting flaw that
leaked water into my just rebuilt engine bending a rod.
We have verified new manifold is leaking and there was no other
contributing factor.
Should I ask for more than just a replacement manifold
like some compensation for having to redo my engine once again or
is that out of what would be considered normal.
I have not contacted the vendor yet because I didnt want
to either be unreasonable or get taken either.
I think there are enough profesionals on here for
me to guide my actions better than on my own.
If this is not the right place to ask this then feel free to move it.
Thank you,

The Kodak rule. They replace the can of film-
Think about those implications on a movie shoot.
Should you ask for something? Absolutely. Will you get it likely not.
Completely blows dude sorry.

Depends on how they run their shop. If they run it like most then you will only get the new part. If they do it like I would then they would fix everything. Today one of my subs nocked over a glass piece of art in one of my customers house. This thing is many pieces and cost 60,000 bucks!! It was broken already so we could have said nothing. I made him go in and tell the customer. The owners wife said that they will just ship it back to australia and let us know how much it is. My guess is that we will never see a bill but you got to do what is right. Unfortunatly this is the marine industry.....
