Question Water Circulating Pump

I need to replace one on a 454 Mag.

Is this one of those parts that are either marine or automotive?

Can I use an automotive one in freshwater?

Cool

What I did when I had to replace one of my water pumps is I went to NAPA with the old pump and bought a new one with the same bearing and seal assembly and drove the old one out and the new one in. Works great and it only cost me $30.
