Sounds like the target speed has been scaled back a bit to 220 from 300+.

Main thing is that everyone is safe at the end of whatever speed it attains.

Nah, Rich, I think the record they were always going after was the Villwock 220 mph (propeller-driven), which is plenty freakin' fast, as opposed to the Warby 317 mph (jet-thrust), which is simply psychotic.

And I suspect the target might drop further. That said, your point on everyone being safe is the only thing that really matters.
