ok, I'm getting ready to install my new dash, & it looks like the new livorsi depth finder has a different plug then my old gaffrig unit, can the wires be cut & spliced together? will it still work properly?

I don't think so. I installed a new transducer that goes with the new gauge.

Works much better then the old combo.

Ditto...I just got a Livorsi DF to go with my new gauges/dash and was told to use the new transducer also. Still hooking everything together and waiting to put the boat on the water to locate the new transducer.

yeah, this sucks, it is a total P.I.T.A to get an old transducer out, why can't they make the plugs the same , that would be to simple
