Im just glad my bilge isnt the only one that looks like that.
I dont have the part number but I think one of these years when I pull the engines I am going to move mine closer to the sea strainers. Very diffucult to open/close hanging over hot exhaust.

But I agree, I think when I replace them I will move them closer to the strainers also

Yeah I was wondering if that's all it was. With the lever removed and that cable bracket mounted instead.
The problem is going to be getting at it...

We have stainless ball valves that are on a standard handle. They have a 2 threaded hole flange on the bottom. Looking at this, we would just need to modify the handle and tap it for a quick release cable bracket.
Talking to our main fabrication guy Mike doesn't recall building this type of set up before, but it can easily be done!
