I am sure that I am not the only one that is curious about this boat, but I am asking anyway. What does everyone on here know about these boats? The are great looking boats, and from what I hear are great running to. I read in Boating MAgazine that they are one of their favorite all time boats. Which brings me to the question, are they really all that great top end? in chop? thanks

I have a sweet 16. It is actually my second one. It has a 305 small block in it. The answer to your question is yes. It is a boat to own at some point in your life. Yes it handles the rough. And yes it is fast!!!

The Donzi classics are special. I've owned many of them over the past 30 yrs, 16's, 18's and a new 22. My favorite is the 18 2+3. With the 24 degree deep v hull they handle big water better than words can describe. When I was young, I would take mine way out off the coast of Gloucester Ma. There's nothing like playing in hurricane swells in a Donzi classic. -Like dirtbike riding on the sea!

I had a 16 Classic. Bought it mainly for skiing, but also as my very first go-fast. That it did. Was not well suited for the Chesapeake Bay though. Just too small.
The boat is a hand full at speed, but loads of fun. Never knew what attitude it was going to take when airborne, which was very easy to do. Had a few friends who refused to ride in it with me because I loved to make it fly.
Definitely an attention grabber. I think that boat turned almost as many heads as my AT.
