I am considering trying a new set of props but I am wondering if there is any horsepower/speed limitation to mercruiser flo-torq hubs.
If I am say at 500 hp and 80 mph do I need solid hubs? If so, does mercury still make them? (these are not my #'s, I am just curious)

Merc makes a solid hub insert for the flo torque props:

I have one solid hub for $20 plus ride; maybe you could use it if you have the rest of the stuff...

From: Denmark and hopefully some place nice
There is for the plastic hubs, 400hp. Use solid hubs. Cheap insurance.

Mercury, recomends to go to solid with 400HP or more.
At BBLADES we recomend going to solid hubs at 300HP if possible. The plastic inserts can give out under the constant loads created from 300 HP also. If you decide to use plastic/delrin (which can be used with 500HP) keep spare inserts on board.
