Looks great! I'm about to do the same thing. Just bough a 24' Baja 2 weeks ago and just found out (this morning) I have to do a complete rebuild. Bilge redo is in order while the machine work is being done. Keep the pics coming, its good encouragement for me!

Just seen your from Gardner, only about 30 miles or so from us.

Lol, I was in the same boat ( pun ). Pulled motor then transom assembly to replace swivel pin and seal. Had full intentions of sanding and painting bilge but sadly found stab engine stringer bad. By the time I replaced and glassed it, it was boatn time so together it went! Degreasing cleaned it up enough. Of course, by the time I had the hydraulic steering done the bilge had a nice coat of power steering fluid. I can't win LOL.

Looks good. Nice improvement, nothing better than a clean bilge (well maybe a few things...)

Ya that is how I bought the boat. His motor let go after about 10hrs. So I found a deal on an old innovation marine 557ci. That at one time had to be bored a little pushing it to a 565ci. Starts with a Dart intake mounted to some Merlin heads with JE 9:1 pistons and a Roller Cam with Jesel dog bone lifters. With a Crower crank spinning everything.
