Water circulating pump 454 v belt verus serpentine
Merc calls for the same part number for a serpentine belt setup as they do for a v belt setup. A serpentine setup will spine the pump the opposite way. The questionis, is there a difference in the two pumps even though merc calls for the same part number? The reason I ask I had a v belt one sitting around and was going to put it on a serpentine setup. Will it work? Thanks for any help

If the part number is the same there is only 1 pump. Years ago there were 2 versions.
