Default Is it scary to order a new Baja???

Just BS'n last night with a friend about boats & we talked about Baja coming back alive. He asked who really owned them now & then asked who is really building them? Meaning was it people that really had built Baja boats before or just people hired to work & build boats. ( A pride thing)

We then started talking about, if we had the $$$ to order a new 35 OL would we? Would we & should we expect the same quality, fit-n-finish & interior trim that was there before? Are the same materials being used & the same building processes that the 35 was designed to be built with in 2006?

We neither one liked the "Baja By Fountain" thing they are trying to push..... Fountain is gone, at least for now, so don't put your name with a company thats not in business or building boats! Its not a plus, its a negative! 10 years ago would have been a different story for sure, but not now!
Start clean, with no ties to anyone, for a better image! Just simple, Baja Is Back!

Just our thoughts...........

Your thoughts........???

I would be a little scared. Who owns them now? How many boats have they built? Where are they? The web site says they only have 8 dealers in the country. I remember when there were 8 in Cincinnati....maybe not that many

From the one 26 OL I've seen I wasn't impressed at all. The new bolsters look like something out of a 1980 Scarab.

But best wishes to them. Unless you had "fu@k you" money, I don't know why you would buy new. Plenty of really nice used on the market. Our economy still isn't that great.

Best deal we ever got was an '08 leftover brand new that had been with a dealer for over a year and he had to get rid of it. Probably will never see such a good deal on something new like that again.

I would like to see them pull it off. Way too many performance boat manufactures closing the doors in recent years. Not much info on who or where they are being built.

If they just wouldn't have changed a thing, people would of & could of believed they are the same throughout........

Over $300,000 for loaded 35 OL............

I hope they make it too!
