I looked at a "new" demo 400ss with 8.2's and Axis controls yesterday. Not sure of the hours, probably around 20. Titled and warrantied as new but yet two model years old. Hardtop, most options.
What would it be worth?
If I had any sort of u clue I wouldn't ask here.
I'm not looking for opinions on this or other similar boats, just an idea of this boats value.

What an awesome boat for sure.
I don't know the value but, if I were looking at a 2 year old new boat like that my first offer would be 60 percent of MSRP to get a feel of where they came back at. Then I wouldn't come up much when I countered.

I have no idea what it is actually worth. Likely no one knows. As a wise man once said "... the fair market price of anything is what a willing buyer and a willing seller agree upon."

Keeping in mind; this is for a used boat.

My experience with dealers has been they are, as a general rule of thumb, not going to take anything less than what they have in it. This is especially true if the model has not significantly changed from model year to model year.

Not sure how Thunderbird does it, but some manufacturers do have some special pricing for dealers who have a designated demo. I do not believe it is significant.

at 60% of MSRP you should be below dealer cost but may still be in the right neighborhood. Like stated, I'd start there and move up a little as your desire/wallet allows.

I'd guess the dealers actual cost to be right around 65 to 70% of MSRP, There's usually a lot of profitability if you can actually sell at the sticker price.
I'd feel reasonably certain that there are additional incentives from the mfg to the dealer to help them move new boats from a previous year or two.

I bought a 2008 370 leftover in 2010 with zero hours on it. The deal was awesome, so I basically got a new boat at a used boat price. Can't complain.

The factory will get involved, if the dealer has a good working relationship with them. And by involved, I mean, they will help sweeten the deal. We had several options added to our boat at favorable pricing, for example, as part of our package.

Beware of a dealer that might have scooped up a GE repo, as these boats will not be warrantied by Formula, without a significant extra cost for that warranty. And chances are the boat has had a hard life in the process. And the dealer probably doesn't have any affiliation or knowledge of the Formula line.

Can't go wrong. Other than a few teething pains from sitting for awhile, our boat has been flawless and we love it.
