"honey with what we're saving we could afford a payment on something". Amazingly, she agrees!
Then I say, (being the smart ass that I am) "like for a boat" to which she also agrees
The rub is she wants a cabin cruiser and pretty sure that's what she's thinking. Some times I'm not as smart as I think I am
She doesn't know that for Christmas she's getting a 12 volt blow dryer and curling iron for on the 24' Sonic. We'll see how that goes over.
Either I or her legal representation will report back w/the results.

funny! Course I'd need a new tow vehicle and a 2nd payment just to feed the thing.
I like this one much better. Course it's a scam too as it's not even close to being a '2002.

Ad for same boat in Miami just before it's new wrap and being listed for sale in Orlando by what looks like an auto shop. Something fishy going on. Like couldn't sell it in Miami like they though so lets try Orlando??
http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/3385112493.html
And yeah Chevelle, I'd guess late '80's. I posted this on S/F and here on the multi O/B thread. Advertising the thing as a '2002...... though, wow.
Someone is going to get screwed or that dealer owned.
Doubt it will sell on e-bay so watch the price drop more. One of the ad says only 250 hrs on the motors. Being from Miami it's probably closer to 2500 hrs.
If you look close at the pix's, it clearly looks like a flip. New interior, paint, wrap but speaker covers missing, hatch brackets broken etc, etc.
Buyer beware.

Just show her pictures of cabins and boats, but do NOT show her the pictures that make it look long and pointy.
What's funny: That's exactly what my insurance agent said to send them when I was signing up my current boat.

We were frustrated w/our last Keys trip in that it's ***** to find a place that is safe to anchor w/easy dinghy access where the property owners won't ***** at you. Looked for a real marina too and didn't find anything until Islamorada but at $3. per foot w/a 25' minimum. So $75. per night to stay on our 24' cuddy and not use their water or shore power???? Fk that.
When we finished laughing we went back to our $69. hotel room and left the boat on the trailer for 3 days of that trip.
We found a class A marina (pool, bar, clean restrooms etc) up near Cape Canaveral for .75c per ft and are going to do a trip there next.
W/my old 24' Sonic we'd do a night or two on the hook and then a night or two at a nice marina. That way she has a clean restroom/electricity/shower steps away, the folding bikes are leaned against the piling by the boat and the boat is dead calm for sleeping at night.
The current Mrs was never on my old 32' sedan, bridge, cruiser but the old (several) GF was and when I sold it and bought the Sonic and did as described, no one *****ed.
We'll see.
Oh yeah, when I insured my old 24' Sonic my agent listed it as a cuddy cabin
