I am trying to check out other peoples setups on their 33AVS scarabs I run one that belongs to a customer of mine and don't get me wrong it is fast but for the power we have etc. the efficency of the whole setup ...not so good. What I am looking for is what you guys have as far as RPM's, Prop style & Pitch, est. horsepower, and real top speed numbers ( no exxagerations please I am trying to get true info) The boat I am running had 502EFI's with Procharger M-1 's, Lightning headers, Modified computers and nosecones on the drive. Props started out as Bravo 1 30pitch that Mercury Racing turned into 32 pitch not lab finished. The best real radar speed for this setup was 97 MPH @ approx 5400 RPM's this is 17% slip Horrible Also has anyone had one with the imco 2" shorter lowers?? Trying to fine tune the setup for a radar race here in a month any help will be greatly appreciated. Jason [email protected]

good luck there, a friend of mine has a 2000 with twin 500efi's, it is all stock, I know it will run over 80, he say's it will hit 90 with a light load and cooler temps, let us know how it turns out on the run

I picked up 5 mph with the imco 2 inch shorter lowers but could not get on plane with labbed props went back to out of the box brovo 1s and spin them to about 4000 and it comes on plane also handles better. I am putting stellings boxes with a one more inch of raise and 800 hp motors in in 2 weeks. james

Scarab 105 I have 1.36 in it
ScarabJ You did not mention what speed, engines, props and rpm's you ran before the two inch lowers, also same info after you put the lowers on ( ie did you get the five MPH with extra rpm's you were able to turn because the drives are higher or did you run the same RPM's but got five MPH out of the better efficincy of the drive and now have a lwer slip factor.?? Get back to me guys

ScarabJ I guess the speed you are running is important to me did you go from 80 to 85 or 95 to 100
I was out the other day and had a magellan handheld gps that read triple digits just after I backed down off the throttles I still had some more stretching out to do andsome trim left I am thinkin it would go 104ish the way it sits with the 32" props.

The boat is completely stock. In flat fresh water it went 72 on gps it picked up to 77 on gps. with good water maybe 80.502 mags the problem is that now it is on the rev limt with 28 b1s it would not get on plane with labbed 30s but this is all i had. this is why i am putting on the boxes with the big motors
