Default Engine upgrade in process. ADVICE

At the end of season last year i spun a bearing on the BLOCK, catastrophic failure. I did not realize the extent of the problem until my engine builder pointed it out. After give me some options I decided to upgrade. 565ci carberated, dart irion eagle heads ported and polished to 390cc, JE pistons, MSD Ignition, Dominator 1050CFM carb, ect....

Here is my dilemma. When i removed the engine I really did not take measurements or photos that would be helpful to me making the my next purchases. I need to know the following: Carb pad height, need max height intake i can use
Maximum height i can go with lightening headers and capitons call exhaust
Oil pan type, I've seen two styles and max size
Am i able to do away with my water pump and install just a cross over. Would also like to know the pros and cons on crossover vs water pump.

Basically i need dementions of engine compartment or to know what i can use.

1994 21'Baja Twilight Cruiser

Thanks in Advance!

It would help to know what you had in the boat to start with & some pics of the engine compartment would help to see what is there. Randy

No mis print 390cc You can drop a golf ball through each port!

Usually in a marine application you don't necessarily want to have large runner volumes. We usually don't spin our engine above 6000RPM. So we try to take advantage of the smaller volume runners and get the best flow with the least cross sectional area. This will in turn have a higher port velocity creating low end torque. Boats are all about flat torque curves and building peak power in a limited RPM. Do you have the cam specs?
