I got a case of 101 about three years ago, Should last me a life time LOL. I was at West Marine last week getting oil but I did notice they had 101 in stock.

I use 101 on everything, great waterproof grease, but it's about time they did this. Back when I started working on Mercs there was only one grease, multi purpose. We used it on everything. Now there's a different grease for everything, prop shaft, gimbal bearing, spline ect.

Thanks for the heads up! I love that stuff! I will definitely have to stock up or pm Gonzo when I need some. I wonder what they will suggest to use when rebuilding drives. Its been some time but I remember the manual calling for a mixture of 101 & High Perf Gear lube when installing some bearings.... Could have been bravo instructions.......

Thanks for letting us know Mr Fixx...seems like the 101 is completely different from the "blue" family of grease(s).
I just received a Merc circulator inlet hose made in China and a fuel pump made in Korea (south)..so I suppose this is all just progress .

Mercury spring stock order showed that 101 would no longer be available after stock ran out. Called Mercury and they said that 2 4 C should be used in place of 101. Order three cases and took every tube in store and squirreled it away.

what kind of maintenance does a bravo gimbal need and how often? I change my drive oil every 50 hrs but I haven't done anything to the gimbal since I had the motors out last winter (18 months ago)

Darn!, 101 is excellent for prop shafts. Really like that stuff. Wonder who really makes it? Or a close equal?............................................ ..Rjr..........................................
