Bravo Drive
#2
I'm a rookie too, but here is what I have learned.
At least annually (I do this during winterization):
Grease all fittings. Do not forget the engine couplings (2) behind the block. They are a real ***** to get at, but I have heard of them (engine coupler) going bad. Bump the engine to get at them. Also, (I guess) the drive should be removed to grease the u-joint.
Change drive oil
Replace zinc fittings as required. If boat is kept in water, I would do this once a year.
Remove prop during winter storage.
Touch up with paint as required.
Get the maintenance manual - it tells you exactly what needs to be done.
