Want/need a tie bar on my Formula 330SS w/ 496 Mags.

Can you enlighten me on the differences / advantages of these two mounting types; saddle v top of gear case?

Either are good. Some run both cause it looks cool. If one has a clearance problem run the other one. Check for clearance with the drives all the way up under the swim platform.

I'm new to twins and had no clue. I appreciate the input. Probably gonna go with an Eddie Marine or equivalent saddle mount this fall.
