need some guidance on hatch lifts

My engine hatch is also the rear bench, the brackets are still in place but no actuators.
Are these typically run with hydraulics shared from the trim or tab pump or are lifts typically electric? the boat is a wellcraft 260 eclipse[ATTACH=CONFIG]517784[/ATTACH]

Yep, Electric, hydro & air. Mine is Hydro in my Baja. Its a "kit" made by Bennett. It uses their pump, with 2-24" rams.
But every thing has it's ups and downs. The hyrdo is quiet, but it is sloooooow, and the reservoir on the pump isn't large enough to hold the oil needed to to fully extend the 24" rams.
Electric (ones I have seen) are "medium" speed. They are loud and the noise they make just isn't delightful at all. They draw more current also. On Steve's boat, if he opens the hatch, it makes the radio cut out due to the current draw.

are you sure it doesnt use teh same pump as the tabs?

You actually could by adding a T and solenoid valves. I've done it not with boats but its definitely do able. All valves closed, whatever switch you hit activates motor and that solenoid valve while the others remain closes.

Electric are cheap they work just fine you can pick one up for under 100 dollars had my 24" electric for 6 yrs with no problem

Yes Im sure. I have 2 bannett pumps on my transom. (2 of the same model pumps). One for tabs, other for hatch lift. For the hatch pluming see post below. T fittings.

This is the only photo I have right now of the pumps. In the corner of this pump you can see the pump for the lifting rams for the hatch. Plumed using "T" fittings. The other pump for the tabs is located right next to it. (out of the photo on the right)
