Any reason you don't want to run a mechanical pump? Are you EFI?

For a 500HP engine, the Mallory marine electric pump and regulator is a reliable setup. I would stay away from the holley red/blue style pumps.

I thought about that! Wasn't sure it was a good idea but I don't see why! If it's got enuf psi for EFI it's got enuf for 6-8 psi!

Since you were thinking you needed to go electric,I think you should spend a little of that money on a new replacement pump for the existing rwp driven one ....Motor is fresh ..Pump should be also ...JMO

My Gen VI 454 block has the manual pump mounting boss. Need to check if cam has the lobe on it. Do you have to run a bronze or brass tipped fuel pump pushrod with the billet cams? Thought I read that somewhere.

big advantage of mech pump; engine quits, pump quits. you can't fill the bilge with gasoline. at least not nearly as likely. that is probably the main reason for the rwp driven lift pump for efi. it is the closest thing to absolute fuel cut-off.
