Question solid hub

I'm running a 496 HO "425hp" and I keep cracking the flow-torque hub. I'm also running on the OHIO RIVER. Should I use the solid hub? I'm concerned with small trash harming the drive instead of the nylon hub. THANKS! for your comments

I run the Delaware river and wouldn't even THINK about a solid hub . Outdrives are a lot more expensive and time consuming to repair or replace .
