The 196 Sport has to go

For Sale: 1988 Baja 196 Sport
Stock 350 Magnum with rebuilt Alpha one drive (270hp). Nose cone, SS prop, 4" thru-hull exhaust, Halon, new battery, new marine stereo and speakers, 12 volt outlet, new bimini top, new sun deck, mood lighting, matching Eagle trailer with new rims and tires, new bearings and new bunks. Fresh water only! Always stored inside! 2nd owner. The guy that I bought this from used it as his inland lake boat, he had a Baja 240 Sport for the big lake. Beautiful, fast, fun and cheap!!

We'll see you this Saturday at Hardy. A friend that is tagging along with me may have interest in your boat and a ride may sell it. Do you have mufflers or are you quiet enough for Michigan noise laws? Hopefully there won't be to many tickets issued this weekend.

Actually I have never had a problem as the thru hull exhaust is under the waterline while not on plane. Nice and quiet until you put the hammer down

It has been a fantastic boat and I will miss it (and probably kick myself) when its gone. My wife has her eyes set on a larger and more family friendly boat. I sure will miss being able to store my boat in the garage!!

Not trying to horn in on your "add" Todd, but WETTE VETTE if your buddy want's a boat a bit bigger than the 196 (which I've seen and it is a nice boat by the way) the Waterfoul is also for sale.

Hey Wette Vette,

I saw your boat over by the brower park area (by Waterfoul). Was that you looking in the bilge of the Checkmate? Your boat looks sweet!! I was looking for you to see if your buddy wanted a test ride

Then I saw you going up river, how fast did you get it going up there? If I would have been thinking, we would have followed you up and hung out. I figured we would see ya again but no luck.
Oh well, maybe next time!!
