Every time I grease my balls, I get it all over my shorts!
No B.S. - I grease the hitch and then forget about it and some point down the road, lean into the bed of the truck straddling the hitch and wammo! Grease all over the front of my shorts!
Oh, and add "Do you grease your balls" to the list of sayings only a boater would not get offended by hearing!

On a serious note.
I do here and there, but more importantly I spray up into the trailer ball socket with Dupont Teflon spray or the likes. Keeps things from rusting and sticking...which is the main issue I see.....and will put some down on 'your balls' when attached.

I use the white Teflon grease specially for balls...or trailer hitches, which ever. But to your point by the time it makes it to the front of your pants, it's black as coal....until the bloody shin leaks through too.

As SB pointed out, the lubrication coming out of the orifice has a natural tendency to migrate down onto the balls, thus keepinng them lubricated.
Wow, this sure isn't where I expected this thread to go. Are we still talking about trailer hitches? Is it time to start including discussions of Fountain beaks?
