Default Holley electric fuel pump

I have a 454 mag, 385 h.p. Holley 750 double pumper. I am using a Holley Black electric fuel pump. It went bad the other day and i am looking to replace with another Holley pump. I see they have 2 others besides the Black. The Red and the Blue. I know the Red pumps the lowest amount of fuel, then the Blue. Just wondering if i could use either the Red or Blue, besides the Black which seems to be an over kill in my opinion. Any advice would be greatly appreciate. Dan

Personally, I wouldn't use any of those holley electric pumps.

I have been running Mallory 140's for years. Look at the Mallory 110. They are easily rebuild able and internally regulated at 7lbs.

Those mallory pumps are pretty darn reliable pumps. Is there a provision for a mechanical fuel pump on your engine ?

Here on the site, they suggest an aeromotive fuel pump with my application and it has worked great

Thanks for the response. There is no provision for a mechanical pump, can only use electric. I used the Holley Black pump that was installed 9 yrs.and it worked fine. Need a new pump , but thought something like the Black pump was over kill for my motor and carb setup. Now just looking what will work best. Thanks again.
