Since I have full dry exhaust and can’t find internal flappers I was thinking making these so they break water from entering the system. Also will be using external flappers. What you guys think??

what kind of power did you use these with. Just curious as I'm amazed you had no power loss unless stock application. OP I don't think you'd have any luck with flappers and dry exhaust.

Theres an article about some Skater with 1200hp blown engines getting kicked off the lake for loudness, but used these with no ill effects on wet exhaust that brought the noise down to compliance. Apples to oranges here but I haven’t heard anything bad about them yet.

Oh sure, if you know how to use the Internet. Lol.
Ive noticed most of those testimonials are on blown engines and would think a N/A engine would be more sensitive to it. Probably still better than most mufflers though.
I believe the op was looking to use these as reversion dams on dry pipes so I can’t speak to that, but I would recommend to anyone buying these to order the longest ones you can fit and cut the rings off until your happy with the sound. I bought the 5.5” units and was happy with them but the gf envies the sewing machine wakeboards at the dock. Currently it’s easier and cheaper to get the longer inserts than a new girlfriend.

Blown engines are less sensitive to exhaust tuning lengths and diameters than NA. However, they still need unrestricted exhaust or performance will suffer as the restriction increases. enough Exhaust CFM capabilities very important.
