Default Boating Allowed In Michigan!

YAY! There was some doubt if towing my boat to a lake, inland or Great, would be allowed under the lockdown here in Michigan. My boat is ready to go and just waiting for some warmer days. There may be no sports, concerts, parties, travel, etc. but if I have my boating i will have a good summer, especially if gas stays cheap.

Nice day yesterday @ Port Sheldon and the boat launch parking area about 1/3 full. Hope everyone stays a safe distance so that we don't get locked down.

Heard a couple of guys with big cube motors making an early run--a welcome sign of spring.

No raft ups on Lake St. Clair! PLEASE. That will only ruin things for everyone.

As I said on another thread three ramps in the Traverse City area were closed by the DNR Thursday due to people not distancing themselves on the property. Hope they reopen after a short closure, one is the ramp we use frequently. ed

They never pulled the fishing dock next to the river. People are using that . We will see if they get the main dock put in. No signs up yet. Several boats launched Sunday without the dock.

The DNR has put in 2 of the 3 docks near me and the launch is open. Hopefully people are considerate enough that they don't have to lock the gates.

I have heard they are checking ID's if you and any over your passengers have a different address, its an expensive ticket....
