Im guessing 30 is about 3000 rpms. Merc shows 12.5 (so call it 13) gallons pr hour burn rate at 3000 rpms, pr engine.

Thinking 30mph is going to be as slow as that boat will run and stay on plane.

He's suggesting you'll burn 13 gallons per hour per engine at that rpm, whereas the previous poster suggested 15 gallons per hour per engine (they are both close). You might find that hull needs to run more like 35-38 mph to be as it's most efficient.

Either way, figure 1 mile per gallon for your trip and you should come in having burned a little less than that.

My formula was between 25-30
my sonic is 30-35 gal/hour
all those between 3200-3400 rpm

so most answers given here are good!

Thanks, from Cannes ( France) to Perpignan, I have 230 miles.
So how many gallons I need to make this distance?
For you the best speed/gallons is 36-38 miles/hour.
So 6h30 time traveled.
So how many gallons for 2 motors?

about 1 mile per gallon total. So 200 to 230 gallons total for the trip.

Is that distance calculated going direct in a straight line to Perpignan after rounding Iles d'Hyeres or running the shoreline? If running just offshore there are several ports to refuel if needed....

Your fuel consumption will be higher with a heavier fuel load (more RPM to maintain same speed) so calculations are a bit of a sliding scale full of fuel vs. light...plan for a reserve % as a "just in case"
