Talking Carb issues????

took boat out for run last week , after running 15-20 minutes at different rpms, the right motor just dies, try to restart cant get it to fire. so idle back across lake st.clair , get closer to launch , check to see if i am getting gas , and yes getting gas, try again , nothing , idle another ten minutes , try again this time open throttle 3/4 way and get the motor to fire. i think i have bad needle and seat???
or do msd 6a boxes act up????
carbs are 1050's , also notices around needle seat float .
also time before motor did same thing..
thanks..

Sure sounds like a My Spark Died coil issue. Work when cold, die when hot. Inline spark testers like $15. My fav and found every part store in person and online. Lisle

Needle and seat issue can happen too. If it sticks open fuel will pour out of the bowl vent. If it sticks closed there will be no fuel in that half of carb.

Your description of your issue sounds more ignition related but I’m here behind a screen.

Pull MSD Dist cap, They tend to rust up very quickly

FLOODED. I would say flooding. You can check by cranking motor attempting to start. Tgen stop. look into venturies and if you see gas dribbling in its bleeding off till the fuel pressure drops. Bleeding off due to needle not seating. Disassemble and clean carb.

I had a coil fail and it did exactly the same thing. Had to wait for it to cool down so I could limp back to the harbor.

Id addition to what others have said, look at the accelerator jet and see if it's stuck open.
