Default Flywheel install adatper/cone???

Finally warm here in Wyoming. I’m finishing the last pieces of the build. I ran into a problem though. Flywheel doesn’t matte up. Is there an adapter I need for an after market wheel ? No way it will fit over the ring in the picture .

as a refresher. Here’s the link for the 454 build. My wife went back to Mayo Clinic again but makes progress every day…albeit very slowly.

Flywheel is a ram billet steel 168tooth neutral balanced wheel.

You need a flywheel for a one-piece rear main seal. The one you have is for the older two-piece seal style crankshaft.

It's supposed to be for a one piece rear main seal. Here is what I got. Ram 1550 Also, I saw that one you linked is for external balanced engine. Mine is internally balanced. Not a big deal though.

I think I figured out my issue. I ordered one with a 0.4 inch larger center bore. Ram-1550X

The 1550X is an LS flywheel, not for a big block.

Pretty sure you need either a Ram 1501 or 1502 depending on if you want 30lb or 40lb. A stock GM flywheel is about 32 lbs. I actually weighed one today for someone.
The first two on this list:

It happens. Big projects, you'd be hard pressed not have some mistakes here and there. Limiting it to minor things is the trick.

For sure. I took my time. This is the flywheel I need. My motor is internally balanced.

Tartilla,

I hear this.... I bought a Livorsi oil temp gage to match all my Gaffrig gauges. Still haven't got it sent back yet.

Thanks. Brad.
