Default Cafe Racer Deck Hatch issues

What have you guys done to prevent leaks? First time mine has seen rain since I’ve owned it this past weekend and noticed it coming in through the hatches. Seen on lip ship they have seals but are they for the Cafes? My seals SEEM to be ok but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are the original ones and are just worn and flat from time.

Replace seals with lip ship OEM.

make sure you get them placed so they seal properly.

make sure your drain holes are clean so water doesn’t puddle up.

Default Holes in the deck go into the back of the hatches

Hopefully this shows the holes properly

The backside of the inside of the hatch by where the strut connects. I will try to take a picture today and show it.

Default Second attempt

Here it is. I tried once and something went wrong. It is the hole under the screw on the right.

I think they are molded so you may be able to blow them out with compressed air……

Looks like a raised fiberglass rim covered completely by the hatch? The only way they would leak is if the drain was plugged and the captured water is sloshing when running getting past the seals, or totally full and weeping past bad seals?
