Default 33 Oulaw Speed

I am interested in repowering my 33 Outlaw with either new 502's or 496HO but I would like to know some honest GPS speeds? I am shooting for the upper 60's at least.

I have a '99 with HP500s. See 73-76 on GPS based on load and 24P B1s. Changing to 26 b1s in the spring and hope to be in the high 70s.

I have 496HOs in my boat. Best ever is 78.3 gps. My day to day guarantee no matter what the conditions is 75+ easy. Unless a 33 is somehow faster than a 29, I would expect your numbers to be slightly lower than mine.

We boat with a friend of ours who owns a 1999 33' Outlaw with 500 EFI's and IMCO extension boxes. He turns labbed 30 pitch Bravos. He sees 81 on the GPS.

Derek, Are you sure about GPS? I believe you mean GS(Gear speed).

Ha, that's funny Gary! You have to be close to 80 or better GPS too, right?! I know that GS is faster (just barely) than another mutual friend of ours in his 42' Fountain with 500 EFI's. He says he consistenly gets 79-80 mph GPS.
