I have a 2002 36 Daytona with twin 575SCI motors and Mercury's new ITS system. With lab props we're running around 115mph tops. She cruises at 85 to 90 all day long. She seems to drink gas at a rate of 50 to 55 gallons per hour. Anyone else have experience with the 575 package? I have attached a picture of the boat. Eliminator did a fantastic job putting the graphics in the gel coat.

We went to the Miami boat show this year. I knew I wanted a cat but had no intention of putting up with the BS you get from the guy who runs Skater (my friend bought a 36 and got bumped 3 times over 18 months). I went to Mercury and asked for their top performance guy. I told him I had a 32 Baja with HP500's and loved the reliability. I told him I wanted warranted motors and drives for a 36 cat that would exceed 100. He said get the 575SCI motors and hook them up to the new ITS outdrive package. He also said Eliminator is an excellent boat.
I went to the Lightning Bay Performance Marine tent and met Mike Flanigan who owns the place. We met Bob and Brent Leach and went for a ride in the 33 Daytona. Both Mike and Bob treated us like we were the most important customer around. Bob even kept his new 36 race boat out of the mold so ours could be started in March and delivered in June.
The 36 is not cheap but we got 15% off because we ordered at the show. We got a beautifully painted tri-axle Extreme trailer. The 36 has dual throttle set up so my wife or I can throttle while the other drives. It's got 4 way intercom system. All hardware, battery boxes, scoops, etc. on her side (port) are red and on my side blue. They charged a little extra for the difficult graphics. All total it will run between $325,000 to $350,000.
We've had it to 110 with regular props on it. I definitely would see Mike Flanigan to see what he can do. Good Luck.

You live close to where the eliminators are made,Isnt that a little high for a 36? at that same show, I rode in a 46ft Black Thunder w/575s air condition, and fully loaded.. It was cheaper than that ..
I would some day be interested in a 33, what power do you have and what do you want for it??We may be able to get you in a 36 quicker than you think!!

36 Eliminator
Black Thunder makes a nice boat but with 575's it won't run 110 to 115mph. That's why the cats cost the money over the V's. I looked at a Spectre and Skater 36 and both rigged the way my Eliminator is were equal or more money and neither had storage or even a portapottie. All in what you want I guess. We don't sleep on the boat, even when we had a 32 Baja with full A/C, etc.
Have a great new year!

You are right about it not going 110-115,But the day we were in Biscayn bay, the water was very snotty and it did 86 gps with 5 of us aboard, On that day, it was not a good day for the cats..I rode in a 30 ft cat and it did not ride worth a darn in that water.
You have a great looking ride and must be very proud of it..Have you really run 115 yourself on gps? I also might be interested in a 36ft. I just didnt know it would go that fast with small engines.
Please get back to me,Im very Interested!!

36 Daytona
We did GPS 110mph with normal Mercury 4 blade 32 pitch props in 2 to 3 foot chop. We did GPS 115mph with Mercury 4 blade lab props in the same chop. 4 people and 160 (full Tank) of gas. I drove and had the throttles handled by a former World Champion driver. Eliminator says we can get more by playing with props and potentially different gear ratios. I'm geared at 1.26 to 1 whereas most are 1.5 to 1. I went with Bob Leach's recommendation as I wanted to be able to cruise at 80 to 90 all day long without strain. I've been in a 36 with 900's at 140. The 36 ride compared to the 30 and 33 are significantly different. Much more tunnel to pack air and length to span chop. I have had Skater and Spectre owners in the 36 and they cannot believe the ride. Neither of the Skater or Spectre boats can have canopies if you want storage/pottie area underneath. I have a friend with a 36 Skater who got the pleasure version (small underneath and pottie) but no canopies. He can do 135 but who wants that directly in your face. It takes 2 days for his eyes to get moist again even with goggles.
Eliminator claims a 36 with HP500's will do over 100. That would be $50k cheaper. I also added dual throttles, sea strainers, engine flush, 4 way intercom, upgraded GPS, etc. so there's lots of options. Also the normal graphics which include 5 color mix of your choice typically works for most people. The unusual graphics I wanted cost me extra as well. For me this is the last boat. If I want faster I'll put bigger motors in it. Eliminator quality is as good as any boat on the market. We really love the boat.

Thank you for the reply, You said it all in the last sentence of your reply. "We really love the boat"..
I've never rode in a 36 Eliminator or a Skater..
I was at the Miami show last year and rode in their demo boat which was at the Merriott, biscane bay. It was a 30' with 496s and it could not get out of its own way!! It was the same boat that they advertised that went 105,there was 3of us plus the driver and it was a long way from that speed.Personally I dont think it would go that fast if they dropped it out of a airplane..
I seen a 36, it was at the convention center on a trailer. Nice looking boat, great looking equiptment, have no idea as to how fast or how it rode. I didnt see Bob Leach, but I did see Jim Foley,Gen Manager of sales..
This year also, I will be staying at the Marriott, I might get lucky and get to ride in a eliminator36.. who Knows?
Once again, thanks for the information. You have one great looking boat and I love to see happy owners. Best Regards,
