at one point I discussed this with a guy that had bought a Bmax. He had called Dean and asked him for a price on an upper only.. It was voice mail and I never did find out if it could be done. You might just call Dean at the Bravo Shop and see what he says..
Good luck

Dick

TO ANWSER YOUR QUESTION YES A XR LOWER CASE CAN BE USED.YOU CAN NOT USE AN XR VERTICAL SHAFT!! YOU MUST USE A B-MAX VERTICAL! B-MAX USES A LARGER VERTICAL SHAFT DIA. & LARGER SPLINE COUPLER. IM NOT SURE IF AN UPPER IS SOLD BY IT'S SELF. BUT I WILL FIND OUT. STOP BY OUR BOOTH IN CHAGO.( JR MARINE )I 'LL HAVE A B-MAX SETUP . RON BENDER

Enticer,
Are you going to be at the chgo show? if so, what day? I would like to meet you and buy you a drink or two!! Have you sold your 33 yet? How much do you want? Sounds a little high to me,but we can talk about it!!
Do you have B-maxs? Are you not playing with the idea of surface drives?
Get back to me when you get a chance..
