rotating assembly balancing

I am going to to have my rotating 383 assembly internaly balanced. So what flywheel and balancer will I need?
Can I use the stock merc flywheel?
or both flywheel and balancer need to be neutral balanced?
help.... the best engine machinest in town died last week

The balance job will include getting the balancer and the flywheel balanced to neutral if you have the crank internally balanced. But the answer to your question is (assuming the flywheel and balancer were from a 350) yes you can use them. 350s, 396s and 427s are internally balanced, 400 small-blocks and 454-502 motors are not. If you're having a local shop do it expect to give the shop the crank, rods with the rod bolts you will be using in the motor, pistons/pins (and spiralocks if they are full-floaters), rings for one piston, bearings for one rod, crank timing gear, balancer, flywheel with bolts. some shops will ask for the coupler too.
