Default Best Oils

I was wondering what type of oils is everyone using in there high performance engines and out drives.
Also is there any advantage on running an aluminum flywheel on a 502HP?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Engines - Penzoil 20/50

Drives - Merc hp gear lube

BTW,Why don't we use single grade motor oil,
since we don't use our boats at winter time?

Aluminium flywheels are for dragracing,
when you need that rapid throttle response.

Don't use it on boats unless it is a top fuel dragboat.

Tried an Aluminum flywheel on a smallblock pushing an 18'. Had to bring the rev's up to shift into gear. Pulled the engine and put the heavy flywheel back on the next week. You need the centrifugul force to keep the motor from dying when you put it into gear.

The outdrive presently has redline shockproof/heavy oil in it.
The engine is running a straight 50w Mobil.
I was debating on changing the engine over to Purple ?

As for the aluminum flywheel that is what I thought. I was seeing if any one tried it.
