Not wanting to be outdone by others I decided to go out and try my hand at breaking the V Bottom World Speed Record. In my first pass I ran a staggering 165MPH to set a new world record. However:
1. No one outside of my boat was present to even witness the attempt
2. The attempt wasn't run over a surveyed course.
3. No independent scanning equipment was used to verify my speed.
4. No scanner operators, no timers, and no official scorers and independent judges were present - as is the norm when making such attempts.
5. There was no independent sanctioning body to witness the attempt much less to verify my speed claim - unless you count bubba, my co-pilot.
6. And yes, I've been kind of busy so although I made my world record breaking run almost a week ago, I didn't get around to telling anyone about it until today. Hey, I'm a very busy man and it didnt cross my mind as being that important.
Do you believe me? NO!
Then why would you believe anyone who made such a claim under similar circumstances?

Actually, it is not a press release from Outerlimits...it's from an independent poker run promotor who, by the way, was racing boats in Key West 20+ years ago against Reggie, Ben Kramer, Don Aronow, etc. In fact, he owns the #1 hull Executioner, the first one Reggie built.
I have personally known Billy Frenz for over 25 years. He has no reason to make an inaccurate statement concerning his ride with Mike in the 47'. When he called me his comment was "I felt like I was sitting in my living room".

hey nortie! if what a lot of the ya-hoos on this board were saying were true, i'd agree with you. unfortunately, they are acting like sore losers or something and are twisting the facts as to what or how OL did or didn't do things and they don't even have all the facts.
what ever. i'm not going to beat my head against a wall for it. this guy is going to see what ever it is that he wants to see, not what or how it really happened.
now, i'll see you tomorrow right?
