Does anyone know the cam specs for the mercruiser chevy 377 scorpian motor?

Was it a Roller cam?

Did merc every put roller cams in late 80's 350 chevy 270 hp mag motors?

GM was stabbing roller cams into small block after '87.

Somewhere in mid '88 Merc switched to roller cams in th sbc. All new ones have the roller type.
I have an '88 350MAG, 270 hp motor but it has a flat tappet cam. Merc made the switch after mine was built.

so my 87 350 mags are the flat tappet?

Probably so.
If you take your engine serial number and go to the merc web site then go to parts express, pulg in the S/N and you'll see. On mine they listed two ranges of serial numbers, one with roller cam and one without.
