Question Bravo 1 HP Gimbal Question

When you purchase a new engine package from Mercury and you get the XR drive, does the package come with an HP Gimbal or is that an extra. Can the XR drive even be used with a standard bravo gimbal without modification. Thanks for any help.

I believe the gimbal bearings are different when using an XZ/XR drive in a standard transom assembly. Talk to Mark at BAM or Doller Offshore they can steer you straight. You might be able to figure it out yourself looking at the parts diagrams on Mercruiserparts.com also.
