Default Power steering Q's

Is it possible to run 2 power steering pumps? I have one on the starboard engine, but when that engine is dead and I have to drive back with no power steering it is a *****.

Yes, but it does complicate the hydraulic connections. Do you have a hydraulic helm or cable?

cable helm

Couldn't you just tie into the hoses and just have a valve that would go back to tank when not in use, and turn it to supply it when the other engine is not in use? use the stock system mainly, and this only in need.
