Recomended way to remove props on Speedmaster's?

Usually you can take a hard block of wood and a good heavy hammer and hit the side if the hub. Put the wood flat along the bottom of the blade where it attatches to the hub and hit it. Make sure you thread the nut on a few threads when you do this, they sometimes pop and slide off the prop shaft. If that doesnt work and its really stuck on there, you can try a brass drift or punch and hit the back side of the hub and try to break it loose as well.

I use a length of 4x4 wood between the prop and anti-cavitation plate to break the prop nut loose. I use anti-seize on the splines and have had no problem getting them off. Torque for the prop nut on the #5's is 100 ft lbs according to the manual. There was a thread on this topic a month or two ago. For what it's worth.

I used a board between the blade and the cavitation plate to get the prop nut loose and then put a block of wood against the base of the blades and gave it a good wack with a hammer and off it poped. Thanks guys.
