Default water pressure

What should be the water pressure if there is no stat and no water pump(just a sea water pump) and a cross over i tap the water gauge to the cross over? i have 25psi now is that to much?? at wot.

In my mind, 25 psig is the limit at WOT. I have a Mercury Racing pressure relief valve on my engine and the most I see is 22 psig. It is the spikes that you have to be concerned with. The PRV that I use pretty much addresses that issue.

I'm surprised you get that much w/o a t-stat installed. You might find the pressure a bit lower if you tapped into the block itself, eliminating the resistance from the 2 crossover to block holes.

I thought it was a little high i was gonna put in water dumps to lower it.
i do have gil exhaust.

Take a pressure reading form the engine block to get an accurate reading.
