Default you guys w/ bravos & non mercruiser engines

Question for those of you with a bravo , particularly an XR, and non mercruiser engines. Do you have that switch for momentarily cutting power when youy shift. I'm changing from a trs to an xr and need to know what other things need to be changed other than the drive components themselves.

645 H.P. Sterlings with XR's on boxes. No ignition cut-out, but they idle at only 500 r.p.m.

Bravos don't use the Ign cutout, at least none of mine have. I have had as much as 1000hp on Bravos and not broken, just have to be careful with hole shots and rentering after air so as not to reload the prop with too much torque. I am currently running Xr's and 700hp.
