Re: New to me Skater.
I keep looking at the pic with the guy standing in it and it gives a good idea of how big that MONSTER is.
Im thinking what else came with the boat, meaning what comes out of those sponsons when you hit the switch and they open up like a rear cargo hatch on a transport plane, a couple of ATV's or a couple Sea Doo's? :D |

Re: New to me Skater.
Ok heres a update.
Snowing outside as I type  Drives Are out getting 1.35 ratios installed. Piston engines are apart getting freshend up. Changing cams to solids with some CFE heads. Im gonna spin them to 7500. Peter at Skater has sent me half the mounts still waiting for the feet. The motor rails are the originals. The water pickups I am working on are the ones Peter uses. They are actully built into the bottom. I am told this boat had them I can see where it was filled inside the transom. I will be doing some glass work to fit them. I will run second taps off the strainers to feed the second stage of the water pumps to feed the chillers. this will keep it down to one waterpickup per engine. Bellhousings, Transmissions, HD couplers are in. I was going to lenthen the turbine drive shaft. I will just have new ones built. Powersteering pump is here. Most of the Gaffrig gauges should be fine however there are some turbine specific In ex. percentage rpms. The rear hatches where the turbine exhaust exits are removed and we are building new ones which will be the top of the sunpad. The lower larger hatches will keep. The Large scoops are staying with sunpad between them. Keep in mind this will be a pleasure Cat. I still must accomadate my Girls. This one actully has a small cabin/cuddy underneath with a factory Porti John. The two front seats are out at the interior guys place. The rear bench seats are in excellent condition. Still working on what graphics shes getting. Mild or wild Ill figure it out. For those of you who followed my Hustler it was certainly busy in the graphics and cockpit. I will post some pictures as I start to assemble this mess. Thanks to Tom Byrd and Jim Lee and ofcourse Peter Hledin for there knowledege and pictures of there 46 Skaters. (Geez Ya not accepting an award) :evilb: Gerry |
