The pick-ups were made and installed at LakeLand Marine in havasu. They are the outboard guru's out here. They are plumbed through the bottom of the boat in front of the drain plugs with check valves inside the bilge.

The check valves allow the pick-up's on the motors to work until you have enough speed to open the valves. The external pick-up's are not plumbed to a water pump. They make pressure from the speed of the boat.

I am seeing about 10 pounds of pressure at 80 mph and about 15 pounds at 115 mph. I was concerned that the pressure was a little low but lakeland says as long as the smart craft is not going into protective mode, or giving an alarm the pressure is fine. The motors run nice an cool as well so I think they are probably right.

I will take some pic's of the Pick-up's later today when i get home.

The H2O pickup could be shaved half that size and you'll pick up speed.

Havasu Cig's Skater rocks! I love that boat. I was with him on Lake Elsinore a few months ago and we ran 112 before he got the boat dialed in.

Ryan,

Lakeland told me the same thing about the pick-up's, but they wanted to leave them long and run the boat then cut them down once we know there are no problems. They are telling me shaving them down is probably good for a mph or so...

Loef,

the props are spinning out and the back seat (as well as a cooler) was in the boat when I ran 117 mph. I want to try a race hatch...

Any insight would be appreciated?
MY friend has a 28 with 3 2.5's/ Runs 125. Its the old king sting, set hudson river record.
