No as the speed and the fact that it is diesel would lower the insurance premium to a more reasonable level. That is unless you are not a reasonable person to isure, i.e. accidents, a lot of claims, dui, etc.

No one pays $15K/yr for a slow skater.

Like I said diesels have their place. Trucks and shrimp boats.
Sounds like you have a fast truck. If you want to be the first to install big heavy diesels that will make a 32 boat handle like crap... go for it.

PS: I do not have a Corvette. I was only trying to make a point. My sports cars have 10 and 12 cylinders. Gasoline.

I am very proud of you and your unlimited supply of money... I don't even own a diesel truck myself I just know the specs of a few that are around and what these guys have spent on them...

There are many other threads on here about diesels in boats, why have you chosen this one?
