Did the 300 XS get to 100 MPH yet? I have pair of 2005 300 X's on my 32 classic and was thinking about trying the XS.

Just finished last round of 'setup changes'.

Reversed prop rotation from turning out to turning in

Have now tried 5 different props
14.5 x 32 6300rpm 98mph, this was actually a bad prop
14.5 x 32, 2nd set, better, solved some problems
14.5 x 34, 5700rpm, 101mph, to much pitch (borrowed)
15 x 32, 5980rmp, 101mph, getting better (borrowed)

Moved motors up another 1/4 in.
15 x 32, 2nd set, labed, 6151rpm, 102.1mph

So far this is the fastest the boat has run.

How do you like turning them in vs out? I notice a difference on my 28. What is your 30 like?

It may be difficult question to answer, since we made 3 changes at once, we reversed the
prop rotation from turning out to turning in, we have moved the motors up 1/4 in, and we
went from a 14.5 x 32 to 15 x 32 props. I just ran briefly earlier today, and not very hard
due to both time constraints, and running out of river behind my house, here is what I
noticed. The props seem to cavitate a bit more when coming on plane from a standing
start; however, the boat seem to get on plane quicker. Once on plane, the boat seems to
‘pop’ earlier, and the acceleration is much better. The boat seems to ride a bit higher in
the water, and I did not notice any appreciable change in handling, other than the boat
seem to turn a little bit wider than before, and the porpoising started about 5 mph earlier,
, and stopped about 4 mph earlier. The boat, or actually the motors and props sound a bit
different, I hear them more pronounced than before, seemingly, a slight increase in pitch.

The run in link #129, 6022/[email protected], was out at TNT earlier this week. Two adult males and 40 gallons of fuel.
