That would be a yes for both. I will need some vinyl to break up the white, and would love to see the race version up close. The last time I saw your boat, it was at Skater, just after the a inches had been added.

Our first two times out were during the break-in process. Last Wed 87.9, last Thur 92.1, both with no trim, and very moderate RPMs.

I will post a full report after we run again this Thursday.

I think it would be almost impossable to keep them at the same height if you moved them around on the fly.

I want them to be exactly in the same position in relation to the bottom of the boat. With a manual system, I can make very minor and precise changes, exactly the same to each. It is not the same as triming in or out a lower, which changes the angle of attack, and is much more forgiving.

Thanks to Jim S (jimkid motorsports) and Donnie for all the help. Yesterday, we put the
skater on the lift.

We do not have much to report in the area of performance, we are still in the break-in, limited to 5500rpm.

Yesterday with 4 pob and 130 gal of fuel we ran 50mph at 3000rpm and toped out at 91.5mph at 5500.

Today with 1 pob and 110 gal of fuel, I ran a total of 16.7 miles and almost all of it hard right around 5500rpm. With the trim at neutral, I saw 95.5mph on the Garmin. This is right on track for some real speed once I am fully broken in. During todays run, I burned a total of 7.6gal of fuel, which translates to an average of 2.197mpg.

Default 300xs and fuel

We tested the new 2007 28 skater last week in havasu and I was shocked how little of gas we used. The boat can run all day on 50 gallons. 300 mile plus range!
