Default STERLING 1350's....Couple questions....

Hi Guys....New here and was hoping that you could help me with a few questions about Sterling 1350's since I know somew of you run them, or at a minimum, know about them....

Cost?

Time between rebuilds?

Typical parts (and cost) used in rebuilds?

Are they as bulletproof as I hear...?

Oh, and one other, why wouldn't they make a version from the 700 c.i. block for more reliability, to be used by those of you who don't race them and have to conform with certain rules...?

Thanks again...

Deuce

Why don't you call Sterling?

Probably a better way to get the answers about their products.

They like the 557"(4 3/8 stroke) for RPM.
More stroke less RPM that is where the HP comes from.

I have bigger stroke and make really big torque but can't turn 7000 RPM

Have you had any problems with them...? I am guessing that these are about $75K each or so...?

i would think around 50 hrs for a top end rebuild springs rockers lifters then total at around 150 hrs cost on the first one around 6000.00 to 8000.00 per motor just a guess

My name is John....I don't have the old Bacardi boat, but am considering a Skater....I have never even been in a cat, but heard that they are awsome riding boats...

I might be moving to Vegas though, in which case, may change my mind as there isn't much boating on Lake Mead compared to other places...I don't wanna be the only one with a fast boat, you know..?
