Admittedly, I was spending every extra moment working on it every time we have been to the lake so far this year. If I spend about a quarter of the time on it that I have been she is ok with it. So I guess I will try to be ready for summer 08! I feel alot better! So you guys don't think I'm a tool for putting this drama out before you I will post pics as the progress comes along. Here it is in 2003 as Snakeman.

Wife was the same way with my rebuild,,,,,I backed off just a lil' and she was a new woman!! Congrats on keepin' that BAD BOY!! Keep us posted with PICS!!!

119 at Lake X according to John Robinson who was racing it. 110+ everyday and I will be happy. Am thinking of repowering when it is done to 300xs motors for driveability and dependability.

Ryan Beckley 07-23-2007 09:39 AM

It will be much slower with the 300xs's......everything else has been so far.

yahoo 07-23-2007 09:46 AM

Nice speeds. Have you thought of the 300hp verado's ?

power steering would be cool.

The boat can definately handle the extra weight.

How much? I have been told low and midrange will be a night and day improvement. I fugured I would lose a couple mph but "much slower" doesn't sound so good!

such a cool project, hope a local will be able to get it.. Actually I hope you can figure a way to keep both, at least shes having a "heart to heart" about it.. always seemed like I got the "boot to ass" when it came to spending too much time on my boat... good luck, keep us posted..

Ryan Beckley 07-24-2007 06:03 PM

Iwould guess it will run right about 100 with the 300XS
